Since the introduction of Royal Mail’s ‘Pricing in Proportion’ scheme in August 2006, we have witnessed increasing demand for cardboard envelopes with a gusset. Mailing-houses are well aware that squeezing a 23mm thick A4 brochure within ‘Large letter’ tariff can save them over £1 per item in postage costs.
